Overview of the Session:
Computational Thinking is the recognised prerequisite to coding and computer science in general. In particular, Computational Thinking is included in the preamble statement for all year levels of the ACARA curriculum for digital technologies. This hands-on day of learning will focus on the four key components of Computational Thinking (decomposition, patterning, algorithm thinking, and the process of abstracting) as it relates to mathematics content that is now (or should be) taught in the primary grades. The day will be ideal for the lead STEM staff in primary schools.
