Interpreting and Implementing the Proposed Australian Curriculum
Led by ORIGO Co-Founders, Dr Calvin Irons and James Burnett
A series of webinars aimed at addressing the major changes in the strands of the curriculum
The individual F-2, 3-4 and 5-6 grade band webinar series, as well as the full F-6 series (12 webinars) are available as a series of recordings.
ACARA has released the proposed revision of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics with many more changes than expected. Existing content descriptions have been moved, removed and written in greater detail; and new content now appears across most primary year levels. For example, computational thinking is now a major focus. What do these changes mean for you, and how do you teach topics that are entirely new to mathematics education?
Your presenters, founders of ORIGO Education, Dr Calvin Irons and James Burnett have more than 90 years of combined experienced delivering professional learning in primary mathematics in Australia and abroad. Join them in this series of short webinars to learn about the major changes that will influence your teaching of mathematics.
The webinar series will include 12 webinars aimed at specific grade bands. Four strands of content will be delivered for each grade band, with the option for teachers to register for a grade band webinar series (4 webinars for F-2, 3-4 or 5-6) or the full 12 webinars (full school programs).
All webinars have passed and are now only available as recordings.
Duration: 40 - 45 minutes
Individual Registration: $100 – This price is for an individual registration for a single grade band series (4 webinars)
Full School Registration: $250 – This price is for a full school (unlimited logins) for the full 12 webinars (F-6)
"Can I just let you know how positively our staff are reflecting on the Webinars! They have really found them beneficial. We have enjoyed the conversational format that reflects the way that James and Calvin present and keep marveling at the simple and yet such practical ways they explain maths concepts. It has truly been excellent PD!"
